Since developing our first choking coil auto transformer for cinema projectors in 1933, Sansha Electric Manufacturing Co. Ltd., the parent company of SanRex, has been one of the pioneers as a manufacturer of power semiconductors and power supply products.

We took our first step in to the world of power semiconductors in 1963 by manufacturing our first thyristor. This was later followed by many more innovations in the realm of power semiconductor devices including the development of triacs, power transistors, IGBTs and power MOSFET modules, always thriving to answer the continuously varying and challenging market demand.

Today the brand SanRex has developed to a company that has international influence all across the globe employing over 1400 people and having multiple sales offices and affiliated companies under its name in Asia, Europe and the US, as well as two factories in Japan. Our Japanese head office is located in Osaka, Japan.

SanRex has always strived to contribute to the development of the power electronics industry and the core idea of our ideology has stayed the same throughout the years: we aspire to create high quality and innovative products that will also have a positive impact to the surrounding society and environment. As the customer requests become more diversified, we aim to further improve customer satisfaction and find solutions that fit each customer's unique needs.

Our Finnish branch office that is responsible of the sales in Europe, Africa, Middle-East and Russia, was established in 2017 in Helsinki. We have a wide customer base that has allowed us to develop our expertise in various applications including Welding, AC-drives, Induction Heating and Home Appliances, just to name a few. Our service doesn't end after delivering you the product itself but our engineering and technical knowledge is always present anytime you need it - no matter whether the project in question is a totally new one or one that has been active for a while.​
